At high concentration, bromide ions are preferentially oxidised to molecular bromine at the anode: 2Br−(aq) → Br2(aq) + 2e− using inert electrodes? b) At the cathode (–ve): Positively charged potassium ions and hydrogen ions (cations) are both attracted to the negative cathode.
