An accelerated testing program is scheduled to begin in mid-1978. At present, the graphite chlorine electrode is thought to be the life-limiting factor in the zinc- chlorine battery. Using chlorine-chlorine cells, this program is designed to pro vide detailed information on the causes of chlorine-electrode degradation. Details of this project are discussed in Section 28.
